Electroacupuncture and acupuncture found effective to treat anxiety

A research team from Portugal conducted a double-blinded randomized parallel clinical trial to evaluate the effectiveness of acupuncture and electroacupuncture in the treatment of anxiety. The trial enrolled 56 patients with anxiety. Their findings suggested that both acupuncture and electroacupuncture were effective after 5 or 10 sessions and their efficacy was similar.
